Energy

The same power that lights a house, put back into a car. Built to work at −20 °C.

01 / Origin

The idea began with a sky

NorthernLit is named after the aurora. Not for the colours — for showing up every night up here, whether anyone is watching or not.

The aurora is light moving through cold air. It makes no sound and asks for nothing — and it is why a charger built here cannot be the same as one built somewhere mild.

We saw direction.

That became the brief for our hardware: simple, reliable, made for the cold.

Our goal was never another charger. It was hardware that earns the wall it lives on.

02 / Sustainable life

Three commitments

Sustainability here comes down to three choices: what the enclosure is made of, who made it, and whether it is still running in ten years.

01

PureBuilt for the fourth winter

Sealed enclosure, cold-flex cable, no vents on the face. The parts you never see are the ones we specify first.

02

NorthernMade of this place

Designed in Ontario, built with vetted manufacturing partners, installed by electricians who answer the phone.

03

PowerThrough every winter

Sealed against rain, snow and road salt. Rated from −20 °C to +65 °C.

03 / Winter

Engineered for minus twenty

A charger installed outdoors in January is a different product from one installed in a climate-controlled showroom. The North sets the specification — not the brochure.

04 / Infrastructure

The home is the new frontier

As the world transitions to sustainable living with renewable energy, the home becomes the new frontier of infrastructure — and the charger, often overlooked, becomes the critical bridge between people and that change.

Energy arrives at the house as a utility and leaves as mobility. That short stretch of cable is the whole job.

05 / Responsibility

Sustainable by design

Longevity is the most underrated sustainability measure there is. A product that lasts ten years outlives three that last four — and never reaches landfill in between.

Material

Recycled casing

Recycled content, recoverable at end of life.

Longevity

Durable by default

Long service life in harsh conditions. Fewer replacements, less waste.

Community

Local work

Installed and supported by electricians in the communities we sell in.

Roadmap

Carbon-offset pathway

Nothing bought yet. We measure what we ship first, and we will publish that number before paying anyone to cover it.
